DESIGNER PEPESOS, For "RED OFADA" stew! A Nigerian sauce with aromatic locust bean flavor!
This is one of our best version of Pepesos.
It's a fresh blend of sweet and hot peppers mix, seasoned and infused with African locust bean (The carob tree or locust bean tree (Ceratonia siliqua) is a member of the pea family).
This sauce is used to make the red designer stew (Ayamase) without the stress of looking for many ingredients.
Just heat your palm oil over low heat or vegetable oil, sauté onions, and your meat, add sauce and salt to taste. (dried shrimp optional) Serve it with rice, white rice, and any veggies.
You could also use this sauce for making vegetable soup by adding spinach, or any greens to the sauce as made above.
